A panel of experts from Nexans will discuss the opportunities and challenges to the world’s drive to achieve sustainable electrification, including:

WHO: Renewable energy experts from the leadership team of Nexans, a global cabling and connectivity company, will discuss the major issues and the company’s role in creating the vital infrastructure necessary for enabling sustainable global electrification.

WHAT: An interactive panel discussion with Ragnhild Katteland, Executive Vice President, Subsea & Land Systems Business Group, Jérôme Fournier, Corporate Vice President of Innovation, Services & Growth and Vincent Dessale, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Vice President of Building & Territories. It will be moderated by TV news journalist Sarah Lockett.

Press attendees will be able to submit questions in advance and during the event.

WHY: The starting gun has been fired to achieve net-zero carbon dioxide emissions in the U.S. by 2035 and in the UK by 2050. This has started discussions in many quarters regarding ‘sustainable electrification,’ the key to success for these initiatives. Switching transportation, factories, buildings, etc., over to electricity generated by carbon-free sources such as solar, wind and  water from traditional power sources such as gasoline, natural gas, oil and coal will be disruptive and need to be navigated intelligently and efficiently.

WHEN: Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 10:30am ET (approximately 1 hour)
