These fairs address labour shortages in high-demand sectors and help deliver the province’s ambitious infrastructure plans, including building 1.5 million homes by 2031.

Ballard Power Systems recently announced an order for 14 x 200 kW fuel cell modules from Siemens Mobility GmbH, a leading supplier in the development of alternative drives, to power a fleet of seven Mireo Plus H passenger trains. Delivery of the 14 fuel cell modules is expected to start in 2023 with the fleet planned to be in service in Berlin-Brandenburg region in late 2024.

ABB has been awarded from Stadler Valencia orders worth $170 million to power more than 300 new trains and locomotives with highly energy-efficient traction technologies. They will be used in different European railway networks to modernize and reinforce train transportation in countries such as Spain, Portugal, UK, Germany, or Austria, as well as in some European railway corridors. The majority of these orders have been booked in Q3, 2022. The scope of supply includes ABB’s traction converters and motors to power the trains.
