AutomationDirect has added a host of new motors from Regal Rexnord to its existing portfolio, including two new series of Marathon motors and Leeson specialty motors.

The new Marathon Globetrotter motors are high-quality 3-phase general-purpose motors that can be controlled by an inverter and are rated up to 200hp. Globetrotter motors are offered in open-drip-proof enclosures and rolled steel TEFC enclosures, as well as models in a cast-iron enclosure rated for areas classified as hazardous locations.

A new series of 3-phase permanent magnet AC (PMAC) motors, the Marathon SYMAX, can only be powered and controlled by a VFD but provide improved efficiency even at lower speeds and partial loads. These motors are offered in sizes from 1/2 up to 10hp and feature a smaller footprint when compared to standard induction motors.

Also added are more options for washdown/harsh-duty applications with Leeson Washguard SST stainless steel motors and the Leeson Washguard White Duck series, which features a chemical-resistant white epoxy finish. Both are offered in 1- or 3-phase configurations with available horsepower ratings from ¼ to 10 hp.

Leeson Washguard motors have a 1-year warranty from the date of installation (18 months from purchase), and the new Marathon motors have a 3-year warranty. These new motor additions start at $277.00 with a wide variety of accessories available, including sliding bases, gearboxes, flanges, and more.
