Your safety circuit is easy to create on the PC using the PNOZmulti Configurator. The configuration tool supports you with project design, configuration, documentation and commissioning of the Pilz small controllers. On the graphics-based, Windows®-compliant user interface, all elements are available for your safety circuit as icons or in selection menus. Online help with documentation is available during configuration of the safety circuit. Once this is complete, the tool checks the circuit for error sources.

More and more users are converting their plants to digital communication solutions such as IO-Link. In addition to a variety of other benefits, these provide detailed parameter, diagnostic and identification data. In standard machine and plant engineering, however, sensors and actuators with analog interfaces are still frequently used—even though their connection is complicated and expensive because shielded cables are required. Some of these sensors and actuators cannot simply be replaced by digital solutions when converting to IO-Link due to limited availability. Therefore, analog devices previously had to be connected to a control system via other communication solutions or parallel wiring, which took a lot of time and caused additional costs.
The new, more powerful SOLECTRIA XGI 1500-250 utility string inverters bring together US-based engineering and manufacturing with Yaskawa’s world-class quality and reliability. Yaskawa Solectria Solar announces its new SOLECTRIA XGI 1500-250 lineup of grid-support utility interactive inverters that features higher power and industry-leading DC oversizing ratios from 2.0 – 2.86.
Demands in consumer and industrial logistics are changing. Orders are having to be fulfilled ever faster and container sizes are getting smaller. At the same time, factory logistics, and therefore also warehouse technology, are becoming more flexible, while conveyor modules are getting smaller and materials handling technology is increasingly mobile. Shuttle vehicles are taking over from rigid systems in certain areas – logistics and warehouse technology are changing. These changes are increasing the level of automation and decreasing the installation space for gearmotors
Oil seals in today's production systems are subject to increasingly challenging conditions and requirements. Our gear units, and therefore the sealing systems, are used in machines that run at variable speeds or at continuous duty and therefore cause the temperatures in the drive system to fluctuate. The pressure inside the gear unit also varies according to the capacity utilization.
To meet the demand for faster, more efficient production, ABB is adding two new members to its OmniCore controller family. Available for a range of robots across ABB’s portfolio, the new E10 and V250XT controllers offer best-in-class motion control, as well as 20 percent energy savings and future-proofing through built-in digital connectivity and 1000+ additional functions to meet changing requirements. These two new controllers extend the possibilities for enhanced robot control in a variety of industries, from electronics assembly to automotive, logistics, and general manufacturing.
AutomationDirect has added a host of new motors from Regal Rexnord to its existing portfolio, including two new series of Marathon motors and Leeson specialty motors. The new Marathon Globetrotter motors are high-quality 3-phase general-purpose motors that can be controlled by an inverter and are rated up to 200hp.
The FLIR VS290 is an industrial thermal and visual videoscope system designed to help professionals quickly and safely find hidden faults and dangers in difficult-to-access locations. Featuring a 160 × 120 true thermal imager and FLIR MSX® (VSC-IR32 and VSC-IR33 probes), VS290 videoscopes give users the power to see and measure invisible hot spots before catastrophic equipment failures can occur. The small, sleek tips allow for easy inspection through tight or confined openings, improving productivity and reducing diagnostic time.

Put to the Ultimate Test – Part 1: Torsion Tests by HELUKABEL
Cables and wires in industrial robots and other moving machine parts are often required to withstand extreme stresses caused by torsion. Constant repetitive movements put materials under considerable strain. At the same time, operators expect components to function perfectly and reliably throughout their entire service life to avoid disruptions, outages and safety hazards.
For this reason, at HELUKABEL, we simulate intensive and continuous torsion stresses under realistic conditions with our high-tech testing equipment in Windsbach. We have several types of apparatus for doing this because some of our customers, for example those in the automotive industry, have very precise specifications for how a torsion test is carried out. The tests show that our cables and wires withstand speeds up to 1,000°/s, accelerations up to 2,000°/s² and torsion angles up to 720°. Hence, we make sure that each product always meets our customers’ high standards, and that they receive the impeccable quality they rightly expect from us as a leading supplier of cables, wires and accessories for more than 40 years.
