Hammond Power Solutions Inc. (HPS), North America's leading manufacturer of dry-type transformers and magnetics, has announced the availability of a line extension of three phase general purpose and k-rated transformers for solar applications – HPS SentinelTM Solar Duty.
Single Phase Power Solutions introduces a 75 hp single-phase electric motor to power industrial equipment like pumps, conveyors, grain dryers, and many types of industrial or commercial machinery. The Belle Single-Phase Motor uses Written-Pole technology to deliver a 75 hp single-phase motor that is compatible with readily available single-phase utility services. The utility-friendly starting and operating characteristics provided using Written-Pole technology minimize voltage sags and flicker on long single-phase distribution lines.
Festo is meeting the need of the North American automotive sector for a powerful yet flexible valve terminal with IO-Link connectivity on board. Festo’s VTSA IO-Link, now shipping, includes an IO-Link connector for use on the company’s workhorse ISO valve manifold VTSA, and has already become a core product of some automotive customers that want the performance, diagnostics and simplicity of IO-Link on the shop floor.
You may view your HMI software as the tool that puts production data in front of workers at terminals. But the truth is, modern HMI software does a lot of work “behind the glass” that, if leveraged, can help improve how your operations run.
AMT series encoders from CUI Devices are advanced capacitive encoders with a variety of uses. AMT series encoders are typically mounted to the back of a stepper motor but can be used in many other applications. CUI offers the AMT series encoders with configurable pulses per revolution (PPR). The PPR can be set for most models using the free AMT Viewpoint software (the AMT10-series encoders are configured using DIP switches).

Put to the Ultimate Test – Part 1: Torsion Tests by HELUKABEL
Cables and wires in industrial robots and other moving machine parts are often required to withstand extreme stresses caused by torsion. Constant repetitive movements put materials under considerable strain. At the same time, operators expect components to function perfectly and reliably throughout their entire service life to avoid disruptions, outages and safety hazards.
For this reason, at HELUKABEL, we simulate intensive and continuous torsion stresses under realistic conditions with our high-tech testing equipment in Windsbach. We have several types of apparatus for doing this because some of our customers, for example those in the automotive industry, have very precise specifications for how a torsion test is carried out. The tests show that our cables and wires withstand speeds up to 1,000°/s, accelerations up to 2,000°/s² and torsion angles up to 720°. Hence, we make sure that each product always meets our customers’ high standards, and that they receive the impeccable quality they rightly expect from us as a leading supplier of cables, wires and accessories for more than 40 years.
