Omron releases E3AS Series TOF Photoelectric Sensors with compact size and 1,500 mm sensing distance
Omron Automation Americas launched its new E3AS Series Reflective-Type Photoelectric Sensors that combine accurate detection for diverse targets, exceptional sensing distance, environmental robustness, and compact size. These sensors are designed to help manufacturers manage varied and flexible production needs more effectively.
The growing consumer desire for more product variety and packaging sizes is creating a need for smaller, more flexible machines. To provide a more cost-effective option for OEMs building smaller machines, Rockwell Automation is introducing a new Kinetix 5100 servo drive, Kinetix TLP motor and cable that can function as a system without a controller.
Loop detectors are used for noncontact activation of parking barriers and access controls, signal output for traffic lights, and control of external and industrial gates. The new LC20 loop detector from Pepperl+Fuchs, combined with the induction loops installed in the ground, detects various vehicle combinations and quickly diagnoses and visualizes the data via a user-friendly app. Use the universal sensor system for modern vehicle detection.
Many applications in industries such as bulk materials handling or environmental and recycling technology depend on drives with high torques and mean speeds. SEWEURODRIVE has the solution: a perfectly coordinated unit consisting of planetary gear units and standardized primary bevel-helical gear units.
The Marathon brand has a developed reputation for conservative motor designs and highly engineered products used in a vast array of commercial and industrial applications around the world.
The new IronHorse HBR series of helical bevel gearboxes combines the helical gearset with a bevel gearset to create an output that is perpendicular to the input. All HBR series gearboxes are hollow shaft output and accept double or single shafts. Dual and single output shaft kits are available. Helical gears offer a smoother, quieter operation than most other gear types.

Put to the Ultimate Test – Part 1: Torsion Tests by HELUKABEL
Cables and wires in industrial robots and other moving machine parts are often required to withstand extreme stresses caused by torsion. Constant repetitive movements put materials under considerable strain. At the same time, operators expect components to function perfectly and reliably throughout their entire service life to avoid disruptions, outages and safety hazards.
For this reason, at HELUKABEL, we simulate intensive and continuous torsion stresses under realistic conditions with our high-tech testing equipment in Windsbach. We have several types of apparatus for doing this because some of our customers, for example those in the automotive industry, have very precise specifications for how a torsion test is carried out. The tests show that our cables and wires withstand speeds up to 1,000°/s, accelerations up to 2,000°/s² and torsion angles up to 720°. Hence, we make sure that each product always meets our customers’ high standards, and that they receive the impeccable quality they rightly expect from us as a leading supplier of cables, wires and accessories for more than 40 years.
